Lets Connect Baltimore!

Heart, Hand & Soul

Our Heart, Hand & Soul gathering in preparation for Rosh Hashanah was a truly uplifting afternoon, reflecting the best of what our community can offer: connection, creativity, and a shared sense of spiritual renewal. Women arrived to beautifully arranged cheese and fruit displays and a table of delicious food—an inviting start that set the tone for a warm, relaxed, and welcoming experience.

Heart came alive as we sat together in meaningful roundtable conversations, exploring the deeper spiritual layers of Rosh Hashanah. Participants shared reflections, hopes, and personal insights using the very creative reading booklets on various thoughts about Rosh Hashana. There was a sweet sense of recognizing ourselves and one another during this reflective time of year.

With Hand, everyone had the chance to create a stunning paper-cut simanim card for their Rosh Hashanah seudah. The project was engaging and accessible, allowing each woman to express beauty and intention in her own way. Many commented that they looked forward to placing it on their Yom Tov table as a reminder of the afternoon.

The Soul portion of the event was elevated by Michelle Anflick’s beautiful music performance and accompanying video was very inspirational and beautiful. Her melodies added a heartfelt dimension that stayed with many long after the program ended.

Heart, Hand & Soul was more than a program—it was a gentle space to prepare for Yom Tov together, reconnect with ourselves, and feel held by community.
