The Game is on!
Practical Ideas for Looking and Feeling Your Best
There does not always need to be a lecture, presentation, or agenda.
Sometimes the program really can be the pleasure of sitting around a table together.
That was the idea behind Let’s Connect’s Game Night on August 18 at the JCC Park Heights: a relaxed evening of games, laughter, and good company.
Tables and games created an easy way to spend time with friends while also making room for new connections. There is something particularly useful about an activity that gives everyone an immediate reason to interact. Conversation happens naturally between turns, teams form, personalities emerge, and before long the people around the table are no longer strangers.
That kind of informal social opportunity is an important part of Let’s Connect. Meaningful connection does not have to be forced, and it certainly does not have to look the same every time. Sometimes it develops through learning together or sharing an experience. Sometimes it starts over a game board.
Game Night was deliberately simple: good games and good company. And sometimes, that is exactly what an evening needs to be.
