What a Night at The Game Plan
Despite winter weather forecasts threatening snow, Let’s Connect’s Game Plan event on Motzei Shabbos, January 24th, proved to be a smashing success. Held at the Towers Club, the evening drew a full house of women who came out in droves, filling the room with warmth, laughter, and unmistakable excitement.
Guests were treated to a beautifully arranged Melava Malka buffet, thoughtfully prepared by Chaya Dachs, Shoshana Schmell, and their incredible team of women. The spread set the tone for an evening that felt both elegant and welcoming, giving everyone a chance to relax, connect, and enjoy being together.
The evening was guided by MC Sherri Zaslow, whose fun, energetic presence kept the program moving smoothly and added to the lively atmosphere throughout the night.
Game Plan featured a lineup of engaging games that sparked friendly competition and nonstop conversation. “The Price Is Right” at Seven Mile Market was a crowd favorite, bringing out the savvy shopper in everyone. Specially prepared rounds of Boggle and Scattergories added to the fun, creating instant camaraderie at each table and plenty of shared laughter throughout the room.
One of the most moving moments of the evening came from Leah Schiermeyer, who spoke with sincerity and grace about her husband’s recent challenges and the importance of recognizing Hashem’s kindness at every stage of life. Her words resonated deeply with the audience. This was followed by a beautiful dvar Torah from Sara Brejt, whose thoughtful message left many feeling inspired and uplifted.
The evening concluded with Herd Mentality, a game that encouraged participants to think together, sparking lively discussion and helping women truly get to know their tablemates and meet new friends.
